Day events

Aiming for Munros and Corbetts, we like to take the most interesting routes to the summits. We hike at leisurely pace, while keeping an eye out for wildlife, flora and weird geology ! A list of our planned day events are outlined below !

Glen Lyon Munros 28 December, £65

Approach on fine tracks and paths, grassy hillsides

Duration :7-9 hours

There are four Munros forming a circular hiking route in the heart of Perthshire, sandwiched betweet Glen Lyon and Rannoch. We're hoping for snow to enjoy some winter fun !
Munros above Loch an Daimh 29 December, £65

Faint paths lead to varied terrain in a fairly remote area

Duration :7-9 hours
Availability: Places available
Stuchd an Lochain and Meall Buidhe are two Munro hills that overlook Loch an Daimh in a remote corner of Perthshire. Snow transforms these hills and vast views are to be had from their summits.
Glen Feshie Munros 2 January, £65

Good paths lead up to high ground, some of which is remote and pathless

Duration :7-9 hours
Availability: Places available
We're hiking at a leisurely pace on this high plateau and on pathless terrain. The two Munro summits of Sgor Gaoith and Mullach Clach a'Bhlair are our goals and we may take in some other summits.
Bynack More & Bynack Beg 3 January, £65

Fine tracks and paths, possibly challenging winter conditions

Bynack More is an intriguing Munro in the Cairngorms with a rocky summit and weird volcanic tors. It is transformed dramatically in winter and we're hoping to hike over this mountain and nearby peaks in snowy conditions, spotting wildlife.
Laggan Munros 4 January, £65

Fine tracks lower down, grassy slopes and wide crests

Lying between Laggan and Alder, the Ardverikie Forest is a wild area containing three Munro peaks. We're hiking in this remote area, bagging the peaks. There are some vast plateaux to explore and we'll discover a white beach to chill out on !
Schiehallion in Winter 11 January, £65

Good access path, bouldery crest, pathless terrain on descent

We're on the isolated Munro of Schiehallion in Perthshire for a day of winter hill-walking. We'll take an unsual descent route to explore a hidden side of this prominant mountain.
Quoich - north-east peaks 14 January, £65 (or £95 for both days)

Moderate hill day, on grassy slopes with stalker's paths

Duration :6-8 hours

The first day of our Loch Quoich event and we're hiking over the high peaks of Gleouraich and Spidean Mialach above the north-east shores of the loch.
Quoich- 2 hikes in 1 day ! 15 January, £65 (or £95 for both days)

2 easy hikes making one moderate day, stalker's paths

Duration :9-11 hours

On our second day of our Loch Quoich event, we've two separate hikes today on either side of the loch - Gairich from the dam and Sgurr a'Mhaoraich from near the western end of the loch.
The Lawers range 21 January, £65 (or £145 for all 3days)

Demanding day, some easy rock-scrambling and snow likely

Peaks :5 Munros
Duration :8-10 hours
Availability: Places available
A day's hike on a line of Munro peaks from Meall Greigh at the eastern end of the Lawers range over undulating terrain to Beinn Ghlas at the opposite end of the chain. There's also some easy scrambling on An Stuc.
Meall a'Choire Leith and Meall Corranaich 22 January, £65 (or £145 for all 3days)

Moderate day, steep grassy slopes leading to twisting crests

Duration :5-7 hours
Availability: Places available
North of Ben Lawers, the rounded hump of Meall a'Choire Leith is a remote Munro peak. We'll tag it into a day's hiking with Meall Corranaich to create a day of varied terrain and views.
Tarmachan Ridge 22 January, £65 (or £145 for all 3days)

Moderate day, steep grassy slopes, some easy scrambling

Duration :5-7 hours
Availability: Places available
Winter transforms the Tarmachan ridge ! Cornices build up, fence-posts and paths are buried and route-finding becomes more challenging - much more fun and a chance to practice winter skills !
