Guided winter day on Schiehallion

Schiehallion is a prominant mountain standing isolated in the Southern Highlands above Rannoch and Tummel. Remarkably conical in shape when viewed from the east or west, it is only when viewed from the south or north that its long 'whale-back' shape becomes apparent.

In winter the mountain changes character with snow and ice making hillwalking to its summit much more challenging. But the effort is made worthwhile with expansive views from Schiehallion's crests to Glencoe, the Cairngorms and beyond.
