Beinn Mholach can be reached from the north from Dalnaspital by the A9 or from Loch Rannoch to the south. From either of these directions, fine estate tracks travel some of the way towards Beinn Mholach, though once away from these tracks, routes are in the main pathless, with potentially some challenging navigation.
