In Ardgour, the long, grassy ridge of Beinn Mheadhoin stretches between Glen Hurich and Glen Scaddle, with Carn na Nathrach marking its highest point.

Carn na Nathrach can be accessed from either glen, but the approach from Glen Scaddle is less forested and offers the added advantage of extending the hike to include the nearby Corbetts, Sgurr Dhomhnuill and Beinn na h-Uamha.
