The Kells range stretches north to south from Loch Doon to Clatteringshaw Loch in Galloway Forest. Around half way along this wide grass-covered ridge is Corserine, the highest point in the range.

Although the ridge could be done in its entirety, transport would need to be arranged between the start and end points.

A circular route avoid the hassle of transport connections and is a fine way to experience the southern half of the range, The Rhinns of Kells.
