Meall Chuaich is a rather featureless and rounded hill resting at the northern end of a vast plateau east of Dalwhinnie and Drumochter.

The easiest and most direct route up Meall Chuaich starts from Cuaich on the A9 and follows a good track to the base of the hill. The hill-walk itself is pretty straightforward following a path, rather soggy on lower ground and faint higher up to a large carin on the summit.

A longer and more enjoyable outing is to combine Meall Chuaich with the other Munros on the high plateau east of Drumochter and Dalwhinnie. Navigation can be testing, even in clear conditions.
