Beinn Sgritheall

Guided hillwalking days in the Western Highlands

In the remote Glenelg peninsula, west of Kintail, Beinn Sgritheall stands alone towering over Loch Hourn and Barrisdale Bay. As its name suggests (meaning 'mountain of scree'), this mountain is rough, but the rewards of an ascent are outstanding with far views all around on clear days. Tagged onto the back of other events in the area (see our Kintail Bookends event), we're here for a day's hillwalking, with our main aim of bagging Beinn Sgritheall's summit. Depending on route we can opt to take in nearby Corbett peaks of Beinn na h-Eaglaise and Beinn nan Caorach or hike through delightful woodland surrounding Beinn Sgritheall's lower slopes.
