Beinn Sgulaird

Guided hike up Beinn Sgulaird

Half way between Oban and Ballaculish, the inlet of Loch Creran detours from Firth of Lorn. High above this loch's shores, the long ridge of Beinn Sgulaird looks down on the calm and sparsely populated glen. A sea-level start ensures the routes up this Munro and the neighbouring Corbetts require a fair bit of effort. But once up onto the crests, the views are stunning and the summits are amongst the finest places to take in sunsets over Mull and Jura.
