Meall a' Bhuiridh is the highest point overlooking Glencoe Ski Resort at the western end of the Black Mount. Combined with neighbouring Creise, they form a horseshoe of ridges at the northern end of Glen Etive.

The most direct route up Meall a' Bhuiridh heads up well defined paths from Glencoe Ski Resort. This route is most often extended by hillwalkers along a fine ridge to include neighbouring Creise. An alternative is to approach from Glen Etive hiking over Beinn Mhic Chrasgaig, which has the advantage of avoiding crowds of Glencoe Ski Resort.

The finest route however starts from Victoria Bridge and combines Meall a' Bhuiridh and Creise with Stob Ghabar and Stob a'Choire Odhair. This linear route on crests and ridges finishes at Glencoe Ski Resort, where a walk back along a section of the West Highland Way returns to the start.
