Meall Garbh, Glen Lyon
Munro peak above Glen Lyon
Above Glen Lyon, Meall Garbh is one of four Munros forming a delightful circular route south of Schiehallion. There's no mistaking the summit - it's the one with the untidy stack of old fence-posts !Meall Garbh, Glen Lyon

Meall Garbh consists of a wide summit crest with a few summit humps, the most northerly of which is the highest and has old iron fence-posts gathered together around a cairn on the summit.
Being close to higher Carn Gorm, most people will bag Meall Garbh with this peak, possibly continuing further over the other more easterly Munros above Glen Lyon. Approaching from the south leads through North Chesthill Estate, which for many years has been the focus of access issues.
