Sgùrr an Fhidhleir is a strikingly pointed peak forming part of the Ben More Coigach massif. Though modest in height, it is one of the most dramatic hills in the northwest Highlands. Its north and east faces drop away in sheer sandstone cliffs straight down to Lochan Tuath, giving breathtaking and airy viewpoints. In contrast, the west and south sides of the hill are gentler, with grassy slopes dotted with sandstone slabs.
Sgùrr an Fhidhleir is best climbed as part of a circuit with Ben More Coigach and neighbouring tops. The finest approach begins from the road end beyond Achiltibuie, following a superb round over Cairn Conmheall and Beinn nan Caorach before reaching the narrow summit crest of Sgùrr an Fhidhleir.
